On November 9, 2014, the grand "Zeal Brings Glory, Fire Prevention Ensures Safety" large-scale fire prevention-themed variety show was held in the square in front of the Sales Center at Times City (Foshan). Throughout the evening, more than 1500 passionate citizens from Sanshu gathered, and the songs, dances, sketch comedies, acrobatics and other performances as well as the fire-prevention knowledge Q&As (with prizes for the winners) made for a memorable event.

The evening show began with an opening speech given by Li Wenyi, head of the Xinan Sub-district Office, Sanshui District, Foshan City. He said that because there were more fire hazards and the fire frequency was increasing, the fire-safety awareness of Sanshui citizens must be enhanced to ensure the personal and property safety of each citizen. Then Zhou Siyang, the general manager of the Foshan branch of Times Property, gave a speech in which he said this kind of activity aimed at popularizing fire-prevention knowledge would enhance the fire-prevention awareness of each Times City owner and other citizens, thereby reducing the occurrence of fire disasters. Thus, he said, it's of profound social significance.

The dance performance "A Riot of Color" became the highlight of the evening due to the gorgeous lighting effects and the dancers' graceful moves. The sketch comedy "Hope Is Around the Corner" presented a story with lots of ups and downs after a fire disaster befell a family. The moral of the story was that disaster isn't always horrible; as long as we face it optimistically, hope is right around the corner. The most amazing performance in the evening was a presentation called "Magic." The novel and unique show was refreshing to the audience, and each person present applauded the thrilling body-cutting illusion. The live fire-prevention knowledge Q&As with prizes for the winners, which took place between the performances, allowed the citizens to learn and memorize the fire-prevention knowledge more easily.

The evening show, designed to popularize fire-prevention knowledge, was sponsored by the Times City project developed by the Foshan branch of Times Property. We learned that Times City (Foshan) organizes similar large-scale activities in various forms each year, and that recently "A Thousand Dancing in Public Squares" contest with the theme "Times Blossoming, Dancing in Miao City" was proceeding with great excitement.
