Huangqi has long been known as "Qiyang Ancient Road." Bordering Fangcun and the Baiyun District in Guangzhou, it's fabled as the golden corridor between that city and Foshan. However, as a result of Guangzhou's development in recent years, the housing market in Huangqi has experienced rapid growth. The average price of housing now exceeds RMB 10,000 per square meter.

Many roads interconnect Huangqi and Guangzhou, but none can be called a shortcut and the trip remains a long one by any route. If Huangqi wants to incorporate itself into the 30-minute "life circle" of the Guangzhou-Foshan area, a new, more direct road must be constructed.

The "dead-end road" between Fangcun Avenue and Huangqi Interchange will be connected: 30 minutes to Beijing Road

As reported by the media, upon completion of the planned connection between Pearl River Bridge Radial Expressway and Guangzhou-Foshan Highway, the "dead-end road" between Fangcun Avenue and Huangqi Interchange will no longer be dead at all. In fact, the Guangzhou-Foshan core region will be just half an hour away.

The project to connect Pearl River Bridge Radial Expressway with Guangzhou-Foshan Highway (the second phase of Guangzhou-Foshan Exit Radial Expressway) has been the subject of extensive, painstaking design. Stretching from Huangqi Interchange in the west to Fangcun Avenue in Guangzhou at its eastern end, the project will correct the much-maligned "dead-end road" status that has long existed between Fangcun Avenue and Huangqi Interchange. However, the Nanhai section of Guangzhou-Foshan Highway, which started in 2005 and opened to the traffic in 2008, has stopped at Huangqi Interchange. Moreover, a 2.4-kilometer section in Guangzhou remains incomplete, to the disappointment of working people and commuters.

Nanhai, in 2003, became the first to call for bids on phase II of the Guangzhou-Foshan Exit Radial Expressway. Du Weibiao, the party secretary of Dali Town, recently told this reporter that, within the year, the Foshan section of the project would enter construction, adding that the Guangzhou section would also be completed.

Huangqi will incorporate into Guangzhou, bringing key benefits to Times Waterfront (Foshan)

Given the imminent connection between Fangcun Avenue and Huangqi Interchange, the commute between Huangqi and Guangzhou will be dramatically quicker. Consequently, Huangqi will become a real part of the Guangzhou-Foshan area's 30-minute life circle. The Times Waterfront (Foshan) project, which is located in Huangqi, will then draw more attention among the citizens of Guangzhou. A new upsurge in home purchasing must be anticipated, based on the maturity of infrastructure and amenities as well as the convenience in transportation.

Times Waterfront (Foshan), the last waterfront area in Huangqi, is sure to be the focus of attention in the marketplace.
