From May 25 to May 29, Times King City (Changsha) and Times Property Charity Foundation, in cooperation with Morning Weekly, held an event called "Creativity: Finless Porpoise Exhibition" at the River-God Temple on Orange Isle, displaying artists' creative statues of the finless porpoise and calling on the public, together with volunteers dedicated to the porpoise, to care about these gentle creatures, protect their mother stream--the Xiang River--and invite the lovely porpoises back to their home territory.

The light rain cleared in Changsha in time for the exhibition, and the people went out to play. Quite a few sharp-eyed friends were amazed to find that "finless porpoises" had appeared in groups and crowds in Orange Isle Park, and the colorful statues depicting the creatures in front of the River-God Temple manifested their splendor with creativity and vitality. Some visitors simply stood and gazed at them, pondering the inspirations for such artistic creativity, while others had photos taken with the statues as mimentoes of the day and the porpoise to which it was dedicated.

The exhibition offered a way to simulate close contact with the finless porpoise. It was the first time that Times King City (Changsha) had exhibited the artists' models and drawings of the creature. Thus, each tourist could draw a little finless porpoise in a heart on the finless porpoise model with the use of a brush. A continuous stream of tourists came to draw their own creative finless porpoises and bravely declared their commitment to environmental protection.

The finless porpoise exhibition was scheduled to occupy the River-God Temple on Orange Isle from May 25 to May 29. Let's do our share to protect the finless porpoise so that this shoal of adorable "smiling angels" can smile forever.
